Distributed Channel Selection in CRAHNs with Heterogeneous Spectrum Opportunities: A Local Congestion Game Approach
نویسندگان
چکیده
This letter investigates the problem of distributed channel selection in cognitive radio ad hoc networks (CRAHNs) with heterogeneous spectrum opportunities. Firstly, we formulate this problem as a local congestion game, which is proved to be an exact potential game. Then, we propose a spatial best response dynamic (SBRD) to rapidly achieve Nash equilibrium via local information exchange. Moreover, the potential function of the game reflects the network collision level and can be used to achieve higher throughput. key words: cognitive radio ad hoc networks, distributed channel selection, potential game, local congestion game, best response dynamic

Node Selection Score based Clustering scheme for Cognitive Radio Networks
Cognitive radio means a radio system whose parameters is changing dynamically according to the external environment. By using the several cognitive radios’ in the network they built Cognitive Radio Networks (CRNs). CRNs has the capability to deal with the exact requirement of the radio spectrum as well as take care of its shortage .Cognitive Radio Networks plays an important role to solve the p...
متن کاملA Sensing Contribution-based Two-layer Game for Channel Selection and Spectrum Access in Cognitive Radio Ad-hoc Networks
In cognitive radio (CR) networks, the secondary users (SUs) sense the spectrum licensed to the primary users (PUs) to identify and possibly transmit over temporarily unoccupied channels. Cooperative sensing was proposed to improve the sensing accuracy, but in heterogeneous scenarios SUs do not contribute equally to the cooperative sensing result because they experience different received PU sig...
متن کاملDistributed Clustering in Cognitive Radio Ad Hoc Networks Using Soft-Constraint Affinity Propagation
Absence of network infrastructure and heterogeneous spectrum availability in cognitive radio ad hoc networks (CRAHNs) necessitate the self-organization of cognitive radio users (CRs) for efficient spectrum coordination. The cluster-based structure is known to be effective in both guaranteeing system performance and reducing communication overhead in variable network environment. In this paper, ...
متن کاملLearning-Based Spectrum Selection in Cognitive Radio Ad Hoc Networks
Cognitive Radio Ad Hoc Networks (CRAHNs) must identify the best operational characteristics based on the local spectrum availability, reachability with other nodes, choice of spectrum, while maintaining an acceptable end-to-end performance. The distributed nature of the operation forces each node to act autonomously, and yet has a goal of optimizing the overall network performance. These unique...
متن کاملAchieving Congestion Mitigation Using Distributed Power Control for Spectrum Sensor Nodes in Sensor Network-Aided Cognitive Radio Ad Hoc Networks
The data sequence of spectrum sensing results injected from dedicated spectrum sensor nodes (SSNs) and the data traffic from upstream secondary users (SUs) lead to unpredictable data loads in a sensor network-aided cognitive radio ad hoc network (SN-CRN). As a result, network congestion may occur at a SU acting as fusion center when the offered data load exceeds its available capacity, which de...
